The story of a decade, the 50’s, told through music, dance, burlesque, travelling back in time to rediscover lost values and find happiness in simple things, this is “The Ballroom Kings Show”.

People will return to dance rock’n roll, swing, rhythm ’n blues in theaters like in the 50's in America. The Ballroom Kings Show in fact brings back this music live in theaters as Alan Freed did in America in the 50’s (that phenomenon was surely due to this eclectic figure).

Between 1955 and 1958 Freed organized various extraordinary rock ‘n roll stage shows at Brooklyn Paramount Theatre in New York City, in which he and his orchestra played and shared the scene with all the important names such as Bill Haley and his Comets, the Platters, Freddy Bell and the Bell Boys, Frankie Lymon, Little Richard, Chuck Berry etc.

Story tells that he was working as a DJ in WJW radio when he decides to put on his first rock ‘n roll show: “Moondog Coronation Ball” at Cleveland Arena. 30.000 persons came, but The Capacity of the arena was only for 10.000 persons. The show had to stop early because of the caos. It was the 21th of march 1952.

The Ballroom Kings, combo orchestra of nine elements so elegant in their black smoking, transform the theatre in a real ballroom with their explosive rhythm ‘n blues, jive and swing with the help of the choreographies of two SENSATIONAL DANCERS.
